Tesla and SpaceX owner Elon Musk is reportedly planning to complete the Twitter deal tomorrow. Musk made the announcement during a meeting with bankers offering financing for the acquisition.
Elon Musk, who has a 9.2 percent stake in Twitter, made an offer of $54.2 per share for the entire Twitter, in his statement to the SEC on April 14. Twitter announced on April 25 that it had reached an agreement to sell the company to Musk.
Musk announced on Twitter on May 13 that the deal was suspended for approximately $44 billion, stating that “details of calculations are awaited, with spam and fake accounts accounting for less than 5 percent of total users.” On July 8, Musk announced that he had terminated the agreement to acquire Twitter, citing the violation of multiple provisions.
The Tesla boss then reclaimed Twitter for $44 billion.
It was stated that Musk, who was faced with allegations that he would drive the agreement uphill by claiming that he would remove a significant part of the employees if he bought Twitter, plans to sign the final agreement on Friday.
According to Bloomberg’s report, Musk plans to close the deal on Friday, in a video conference with bankers on the financing side of the deal on Monday.
It was stated that the banks, which provided $ 13 billion in financing for the agreement, took the final agreement to the final stage and the signing of the agreement, which is the last steps before Musk makes a cash transfer, has been reached.
After the news, a rapid increase was recorded in Twitter shares.
